About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Maintenance Apprentice to join our team. In this entry-level role, you will assist experienced maintenance technicians in the repair, upkeep, and improvement of equipment, buildings, and systems. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop technical skills in a professional environment. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Strong interest in mechanical, electrical, or facilities maintenance work.
Willingness to learn and take direction.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.
Basic knowledge of tools and hand-held equipment is a plus.

Nice To Haves

3-5 years of relative on the job experience or enrollment in or completion of a vocational or technical training program.
Previous experience in a maintenance or construction environment (even part-time or volunteer) is an asset.

Responsibilities

Assist with routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs on equipment, systems, and facilities (ammonia-based freezer system).
Support the maintenance team with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
Learn to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
Help install, assemble, or disassemble machinery, furniture, and fixtures.
Document maintenance tasks and report issues to supervisors or senior staff.
Follow all health and safety regulations, company policies, and training procedures.
Participate in on-the-job training and educational courses as required
