About The Position

The Maintenance and Reliability Manager is responsible for leading and governing the maintenance and reliability program across Reliant Processing production facilities. This role establishes maintenance work management standards and reliability strategies to improve asset availability, reduce unplanned downtime, and optimize lifecycle cost. The position partners with site leadership, maintenance, and operations teams to drive execution through influence (without direct supervisory responsibility for site maintenance resources), including alignment on planning/scheduling, preventive and corrective maintenance performance, backlog health, CMMS data discipline, and critical spares practices. The position requires travel to production facilities up to 75% of the time. As part of our commitment to quality and excellence, Reliant Holdings will continue to maintain a safe, healthy environment for you by requiring all applicants to submit to a criminal history check and those tentatively selected for a position to submit to screening for alcohol and illegal drug use prior to appointment for a job. In addition, applicants may be screened for ability to perform essential functions of some positions.

Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously improve the enterprise reliability program, including standards, governance, and best practices to improve asset availability and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Develop and deploy asset care strategies (preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance) in partnership with site teams; optimize PM tasks, intervals, and job plans based on failure history and risk.
  • Establish and standardize maintenance work management processes (planning, scheduling, work order prioritization, and closeout quality) and coach sites on consistent execution.
  • Drive maintenance backlog health and resource alignment by defining prioritization rules, reviewing site backlogs, and supporting action plans to reduce overdue PMs and reactive work.
  • Define, track, and report reliability performance metrics (e.g., downtime, asset availability, MTBF/MTTR, PM compliance, maintenance backlog health) and lead performance reviews with site leadership.
  • Lead and facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) for significant equipment failures and chronic issues; ensure corrective actions are documented, prioritized, implemented, and verified for effectiveness.
  • Establish criticality rankings and critical spares standards; partner with procurement and site teams to ensure appropriate stocking strategies, lead time mitigation, and spend optimization.
  • Provide reliability input to capital projects and engineering changes (equipment selection, maintainability, commissioning/startup readiness), and support standardization efforts across sites.
  • Apply reliability methodologies (e.g., RCM, FMEA, PM Optimization, Condition Monitoring/PdM) to eliminate recurring failures and improve equipment performance.
  • Establish standard reporting, KPI dashboards, and data quality expectations for maintenance and reliability, coach site teams on consistent CMMS usage, coding, and documentation.
  • Support sites in resolving complex equipment issues by providing technical guidance, facilitating problem-solving, and ensuring learnings are captured and replicated across the network.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance programs are effectively planned, scheduled, and executed by site teams; monitor compliance and drive improvements to reduce reactive maintenance.
  • Own CMMS standards and governance (asset hierarchy, work order coding, job plans, and history quality) and ensure consistent adoption across sites.
  • Implement and manage preventive and corrective maintenance program requirements (planning/scheduling expectations, compliance targets, work order processes) and partner with site teams to drive execution.
