About The Position

Servotronics, Inc. is an award-winning company known for its design, development, and manufacture of high-quality components, systems and sub-systems for use wherever precise control, reliability and cost containment are primary requirements. Our products include servo control valves, torque motors, actuators, pressure regulators, metallic. Under indirect supervision, the Maintenance and Grounds Associate is responsible for installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of the building and grounds according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. The position applies knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and at least 2 years of experience required.
  • Previous experience in environmental services, maintenance, or custodial field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform highly diversified duties associated with the routine maintenance of equipment (both production and building) and support of installation and repair of the equipment.
  • Support emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities which support the facility’s maintenance projects.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service of building and grounds equipment.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Informs appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations of building’s systems and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Contacts and schedules vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance.
  • Maintains a schedule of when maintenance has been performed and when next service is due.
  • Works in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations.
  • Takes appropriate action to ensure safety of themselves and others in building.
  • Fill out paperwork associated with assigned work tasks.
  • Perform other duties associated with the support of the facility and its operations as assigned.
