About The Position

The Maintenance and Facility Lead position is responsible for the overall maintenance of the building’s interior and exterior structure. This position applies moderate related knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry to guarantee the facility is properly and safely maintained. This person will plan, lead, organize, and control maintenance & facility activities and systems for all plant areas. Will lead all assigned external maintenance personnel across two shifts of operation: assigning work orders, coordinating repairs and service work. Drives efforts to continuously improve performance and service internal customers in a timely and efficient manner. This position is responsible to ensure adequate maintenance of grounds, buildings, and utilities for maximum efficiency at minimum cost, in accordance with TIDI's policies and EHS regulations. This person will ensure TIDI True North and related ideal behaviors are applied and improved daily, develop associates through continuously improving safety, quality, delivery, cost, and respect while providing excellent service to all customers, internal and external.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • At least 5 years’ related experience

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.
  • Must have effective supervisory, planning and decision-making skills.
  • Must have excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, policies and safety requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to use influencing skills to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Considerable knowledge of reliability-based maintenance.
  • Knowledge of ERP system and the relationship of various system parameters to each other.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
  • Must be have basic working knowledge of Project Management.
  • Must be able to deduce root cause for problems and establish robust corrective actions.
  • Must be able to develop tactical & strategic action plans that positively impact goals and address concerns/problems.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate constant commitment to safety, and actively participate in the development of plant safety goals, policies and procedures

  • Coordinate maintenance activities and direct the daily workflow of vendor partners in a safety-first work environment
  • Participate in the development of internal policies and procedures related to Maintenance and Facilities.
  • Manage operation of utilities, electrical power, water treatment, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
  • Ability to analyze and write reports, ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and develop charts and graphs.
  • Manage and lead both internal resources and external vendors to assure adequate maintenance of grounds, utilities, buildings.
  • Establish routine schedules to enable alignment and clarity within the Team towards metrics.
  • Accurately troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and install production equipment using a variety of basic mechanical, electrical and pneumatic skills
  • Assist in the specifications for facility equipment (i.e.; air compressors, AC units, generators).
  • Monitor and control inventory and ordering of parts, tools and other operating supplies to maintain the facilities.
  • Manages and supervises general maintenance staff of buildings, grounds, and infrastructures
  • Maintain efficient, accurate and timely records and reports relating to all projects & equipment within the plant.
  • Assume responsibility of contractor safety and service when sourced for relevant work within the plant
  • Manage maintenance activities of grounds, building, and the preventive maintenance of operations equipment (printers, CNC cutters, sewing machines, embroidery machines)
  • Accountable for allocating and planning resources to ensure all metrics are met.
  • Manage tactical goals, monitor progress, and ensure accountability while developing and executing plans to meet strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with Value Stream Manager to ensure all goals are met.
  • Responsible to ensure the efficacy and accuracy of all documentation used in the assigned area/s.
  • Enhance processes while working with cross-functional groups.
  • Using a Lean Management System, ensure goals are met on a daily basis.
  • Interact with other departments within the company to positively affect all plans & goals.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely communication to assigned area/s & Team/s.
  • Demonstrate high levels of good housekeeping practices
  • Protect employees and visitors by maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
