About The Position

The Maintenance & Facilities Engineering Coordinator will work closely with the Maintenance supervisor to deliver departmental objectives through data analysis and performance improvement opportunities. The role involves compiling, coordinating, and maintaining aspects of external service provider partnerships and contracts, overseeing their work performance, and supporting the implementation of Health & Safety Standards. The Coordinator will develop framework contracts and Service Level Agreements for external service providers, manage calibration and engineering inspection requirements, and maintain a critical spares inventory. Additionally, the position includes developing designs for facility systems, coordinating engineering support for workstations, and managing construction projects. The Coordinator will also ensure employee and asset security, promote a compliance culture, and perform special projects as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• 3 years of facility management experience or 4-7 years' experience in facility management.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Maintenance supervisor to deliver departmental objectives.
• Compile, coordinate, and maintain external service provider partnerships and contracts.
• Oversee and assess work performance of external service providers.
• Support implementation of Health & Safety Standards as Responsible Person or Assistant RP.
• Develop framework contracts and Service Level Agreements for external service providers.
• Direct partnership with Material Revert Service Provider, measuring performance against SLAs.
• Manage and coordinate Calibration requirements and oversee Calibration Service Provider.
• Manage engineering inspection requirements and oversee external service providers.
• Develop and maintain critical spares inventory for critical assets.
• Keep management informed of progress, developments, and pending problems.
• Develop designs for facility systems and office workstation layouts.
• Coordinate engineering support for employee workstations and conference rooms.
• Develop project requirements, cost estimates, and execute facility projects.
• Coordinate construction of building infrastructure.
• Compile engineering sketches and specifications for construction and installation.
• Assist in monitoring building systems and 3rd party support.
• Ensure security of employees and assets through strategic direction and emergency planning.
• Maintain protection systems and recommend security improvements.
• Promote a compliance culture and adhere to the MTU Integrity Code.
• Perform special projects as required.
