About The Position

The Co-op role provides a learning experience in a manufacturing setting for students’ related field of undergraduate or graduate study. Co-op with an engineering focus would support activities pertaining to Chicago Heights’s Maintenance program.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in an Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or other related technical field of study
  • MS Office computer skills
  • Verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a safe manner
  • Ability to interpret and understand technical documents
  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Ability to travel regionally
  • Valid IL drivers’ license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as an intern a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist Maintenance Manager in creating Preventative maintenance schedules and procedures
  • Assist in identifying and documenting critical spares list of manufacturing machine components
  • Help identify potential machine or process improvements
  • Provide administrative support for the Maintenance program
  • Assist with documenting written Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Aid with internal audits and inspections
  • Other duties as assigned
