About the position
The Maintenance Technician at Ashland Villa ALF by Americare plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and comfort of the senior living community. This full-time position involves performing various maintenance tasks to keep the facility in excellent condition, contributing to a positive living environment for residents.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the Assisted Living Community, surrounding buildings, and grounds in clean and orderly condition.
- Perform minor and routine maintenance activities including painting, plumbing, electrical work, and other related tasks using hand tools.
- Replace air-conditioner filters and complete the Monthly Maintenance checklist.
- Assist with disaster preparedness, including fire and disaster drills.
- Notify management of the need for major repairs or replacements to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
- Clean snow and debris from sidewalks and grounds.
- Oversee landscaping services, including mowing lawns, trimming shrubbery, and cultivating flowers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to use power tools and hand tools effectively.
- Entry-level experience in maintenance or related field.
