About The Position

Performs, when capable, all minor repairs and preventative maintenance to exclude major roof repairs and structural repairs. Processes work orders. Inspects the physical plant on a routine basis. Ensures that resident rooms are ready to receive new residents to execute the duties assigned by the job description and the Director of Personal Care Services. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1-3 Years Experience in a Maintenance Position Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Repair and/or replace window screens
  • Repair and/or replace bathroom fixtures
  • Makes minor roof repairs
  • Minor repair and maintenance on laundry equipment
  • Dispense supplies according to need
  • Check overhead vents and clean them
  • Check on hot water temperatures in the facility
  • Floor care
  • Check plants, trees and grounds for general condition and appearance
  • Check heating systems, boilers and/or other systems
  • Check parking lot for cracks, painting and general cleanliness
  • Check all entrances for needed repairs
  • Painting inside and outside of the facility
  • Floor and wall tile work
  • Vinyl work and/or repair
  • Minor equipment repair
  • Preventative maintenance and service on equipment
  • Clean air conditioning and heating units
  • Clean filters on equipment
  • Change thermostats in heating/air conditioning units
  • Maintain the lawns, shrubs, plants and trees on facility property
  • Maintains confidentiality of information at all times
  • Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices
  • Performs job duties in a manner that maximizes expense control
