Maintenance Aide - Full Time - Days
About The Position

Performs, when capable, all minor repairs and preventative maintenance to exclude major roof repairs and structural repairs. Processes work orders. Inspects the physical plant on a routine basis. Ensures that resident rooms are ready to receive new residents to execute the duties assigned by the job description and the Director of Personal Care Services. Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1-3 Years Experience in a Maintenance Position Preferred
Responsibilities
- Repair and/or replace window screens
- Repair and/or replace bathroom fixtures
- Makes minor roof repairs
- Minor repair and maintenance on laundry equipment
- Dispense supplies according to need
- Check overhead vents and clean them
- Check on hot water temperatures in the facility
- Floor care
- Check plants, trees and grounds for general condition and appearance
- Check heating systems, boilers and/or other systems
- Check parking lot for cracks, painting and general cleanliness
- Check all entrances for needed repairs
- Painting inside and outside of the facility
- Floor and wall tile work
- Vinyl work and/or repair
- Minor equipment repair
- Preventative maintenance and service on equipment
- Clean air conditioning and heating units
- Clean filters on equipment
- Change thermostats in heating/air conditioning units
- Maintain the lawns, shrubs, plants and trees on facility property
- Maintains confidentiality of information at all times
- Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices
- Performs job duties in a manner that maximizes expense control
