About The Position
The Maintenance Aide is assigned to the Monterey Sector Maintenance Program and works under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Chief II. The primary reporting location is 2211 Garden Road but the position may be required to work at other locations throughout the district as assigned and based on operational need. This position is assigned to the Monterey sector maintenance program and covers many of the Monterey area beaches from Zmodowski State Beach near Moss Landing, down to Point Lobos State Natural Reserve in Carmel. This is an excellent entry level opportunity to get your foot in the door with California State Parks! If you are interested in starting a career with the Department or just looking to work outdoors, look no further. You will be joining an established maintenance team and have opportunities to perfect and learn new skills in building maintenance, grounds maintenance, carpentry, and operation of small equipment and tools.
