About The Position

The Maintenance 1 position is responsible for ensuring a safe, attractive, comfortable, and clean environment for students and faculty. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to support the upkeep of district buildings and grounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated success in performing a wide variety of tasks including plumbing, minor electrical work, painting, carpentry, welding, and all building maintenance.
• Ability to read basic operating instructions and write reports.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on assigned buildings.
• Conduct repair and preventive maintenance on district equipment.
• Assist in snow removal from buildings and grounds.
• Haul trash as directed.
• Irrigate lawns as directed.
• Maintain lawns during the season as directed.
• Maintain a daily activity log.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees.
• Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Superintendent and/or board.

Benefits

• Salary starting at $18.20 per hour, dependent upon experience.
