We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to maintain the production machinery and equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds for TC Ontario, CA facility. Major duties include conducting and refining on preventive maintenance programs, performing maintenance tasks in support of plant modernization and expansion projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and improving equipment availability and reliability. Responsible for meeting safety, production, quality, food safety and performance standards. The position is needed to work an alternative work schedule (AWS) alternating 4 and 3 day 12 hour shifts. 5pm-5am. This position is currently open and reflects a replacement position due to an internal transfer, promotion, or departure. The salary range for this position is starting at $33-34 per hour, and provides a $1.75 night shift differential for hours worked past 5pm., This range is provided to ensure clarity and promote equitable access to employment opportunities.

Requirements

  • You will have obtained a journeyman /millwright card or completed an apprenticeship program or equivalent.
  • Be experienced in industrial electrical repair and PLC's.
  • Hae a working knowledge of Print Press and Extrusion Machines
  • Have the ability to utilize computers to check and enter work orders, look up parts, check emails and instructions and/or complete safety training and submit reports.

Responsibilities

  • You will organize repair and maintenance work for smooth, efficient operations; tracks all time and materials used to perform work orders and other repairs using both manual and electronic means.
  • Maintain, repair and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues for Extrusions and Print Press Machines and supporting industrial blowers, pumps, etc.
  • You will transfer waste oil to DOT-approved drums. Responsible for proper labeling, material handling, and storage of the plant’s hazardous materials and waste, and regulated materials and waste as well as universal wastes like fluorescent bulbs
  • You will troubleshoot equipment problems and coordinate necessary repairs.you will recommend, plan, repair, modify, and fabricate any necessary elements following a problem or a project.
  • You will analyze and resolves all issues related to the equipment, utilizing all safety precautions.
  • You will actively participate in regular meetings and safety trainings and programs
