Maintainer (Maintenance)

About The Position

Perform routine maintenance and repair of building and performance of related work in all Garden properties including perimeter fence. The primary responsibility of a maintainer includes Painting, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Masonry, shop work and automotive repairs. Specific Duties & Responsibilities Fulfill assigned work orders. Ability to take direction from management and effectively communicate with managers, team members and garden staff. Execute new projects from inception to completion related to the construction or fabrication or new structures or items. Maintain all maintenance shops, storage rooms in an orderly fashion and complies with Garden safety regulations. Monitor the work of Assistant Maintainers and ensure all assigned projects are completed safely and satisfactorily. Maintain records, inventory, and prepare reports on work completed and materials used Inspect tools, equipment and vehicles and maintains supply inventory Demonstrate proficiency in working on ladders, lifts and other work platforms Perform office moves and assemble/ move/ deliver furniture and supplies Set up tables, chairs, tents, stages and equipment for Garden related events Perform snow removal by using all types of snow clearing equipment included but not limited to snow blowers and shovels. Participate in all training provided by the Garden Perform other job – related duties as assigned.

Requirements

3-5 years of experience in general maintenance work, preferably in plumbing, masonry, carpentry and electrical.
Must pass a written and practical exam and be able to work weekends.
Driver’s license required.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required or the ability to obtain certification within six months of hire date.
