Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, ladder climbing, and squatting.
• Valid Maine Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
• High moral character and ability to work independently.
• Functional reading and writing skills.
• Criminal record check required.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment used in building and grounds maintenance.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate weather-related and emergency maintenance needs.

Nice To Haves

• Basic carpentry skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with building and grounds maintenance, including mowing, snow removal, roof raking, and general landscaping.
• Perform minor repairs and upkeep of equipment such as lawn mowers, snow blowers, and other tools.
• Transport vehicles for repairs and maintain cleanliness of vehicles.
• Report property damage and safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to mandated reporting requirements for the safety of individuals served.
• Communicate regularly with the Maintenance Associate and Executive Director.
• Represent Hope Association professionally and positively in all interactions.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to meet organizational needs.
