About The Position

The Maintenance Tech - Per Diem position at Corona Regional Medical Center involves assisting with the organization’s safety program, including handling hazardous materials and conducting regular emergency drills. The role requires conducting routine maintenance and repairs on heating and air conditioning systems, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as responding to alarms and codes in accordance with safety policies. The position is part of a larger healthcare network that has evolved since its founding in 1965, now comprising a 238-bed community hospital network.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent, preferred.
• Experience in a related maintenance field.
• Technical or trade school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the organization’s safety program including the handling of any hazardous materials and conducting regular fire, disaster, and other emergency drills.
• Assists with the development of inspection schedules, anticipates maintenance and equipment needs, and communicates the findings to the Facility Manager.
• Conducts routine heating and air conditioning maintenance and repair including filter changes, cleaning coils, greasing and oiling motors, and changing belts in air conditioning and heating systems.
• Carries out general repair and maintenance needs.
• Carries out routine plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair needs.
• Responds in a timely manner to alarms and codes in accordance with safety and security policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
