The Maintenance Technician (GM Level II) at Kimberly-Clark is responsible for performing routine service, setup, adjustments, and repairs on advanced paper manufacturing and converting equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of high-speed machines that produce essential products for a significant portion of the global population. The technician will work within a team environment to identify and resolve equipment issues, contributing to the overall performance and efficiency of the manufacturing process.

  • Perform routine service, setup, adjustment, and repairs of paper manufacturing and converting equipment.
  • Conduct predictive and preventative maintenance tasks on heavy industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Identify and correct defects in equipment during preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain typical ball and roller bearings.
  • Perform horizontal laser equipment alignment tasks.
  • Use hand tools, portable electric tools, and maintenance shop equipment proficiently.
  • Execute basic machinist tasks such as cutting and broaching keyways on drive line components.
  • Conduct precision measurements of bearing fits and mounting tolerances.
  • Collaborate within an operations-driven team environment to resolve issues and improve performance.
  • Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Journeyman level skills supported by completion of a certified mechanical training program or apprenticeship in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 2+ years training requirement and 3+ years mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing setting, or 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial setting.
  • Proven safety record demonstrating solid performance.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, work at heights, and within confined spaces.
  • Understanding of preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance concepts.
  • Ability to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug and background screening.
  • Papermaking experience.
  • Training in LEAN tools and concepts.
  • Experience with high-speed manufacturing and converting equipment.
  • Competitive compensation with a starting wage of $40.81 per hour and available pay increases within the first year.
