The position involves diagnosing trouble, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Responsibilities include performing alignment on rotating equipment, using monitoring equipment such as vibration and thermal test equipment to assess equipment conditions, and erecting and removing scaffolding, rigging, and blocking as required. The role also requires maintaining records, keeping equipment, tools, and work areas clean and orderly, and performing welding tasks if qualified. Adherence to AEP safety rules and regulations is mandatory, along with training for emergency response programs. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
