About The Position
As an experienced electrician at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, you will maintain, troubleshoot, analyze, evaluate, repair, and install facility electrical systems and equipment, including large and complex components and systems. You will lead specialty projects and ensure compliance with codes and regulations for all electrical installations, change orders, emergency repairs, and maintenance. Your role will also involve performing preventative and routine maintenance on electrical systems, evaluating isolated power systems, and using test equipment to assess building power quality under dynamic load conditions. You will work with voltages ranging from 120 volts to 12,470 volts. Additionally, you will inspect, troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment according to diagrams and specifications, while collaborating with facility personnel to ensure timely project completion. Documentation and record-keeping are essential parts of your responsibilities, as well as providing training and technical updates to other department personnel.
