Mainline Operator Moses Lake Production Campus
About The Position
The Main Line Operator is responsible for monitoring all equipment on the main line from the peelers through the fryer, up to and including the oil system. The Main Line operator is responsible for adding and mixing additive, performing free fatty acid tests, maintaining and recording temperatures of equipment in the work areas, ensuring correct oil type is used for the product being produced, entering and changing data in the computer system, and sanitizing the work area. The individual in this position will be required to fully understand the purpose and operation of the main line processing area along with having to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates. This job is responsible for operating equipment in the main processing line and performing upstream grading functions to meet operational goals and customer specifications. There are two plant facilities that make up the Moses Lake Production Campus. The selected candidate for this role will begin their training at one of these facilities and then will be assigned to one of the two locations after training is complete.
Requirements
- Ensures alertness and constant awareness of the safe operation of moving equipment and other potential safety hazards in a production plant.
- Ensures necessary level of communication is maintained with the appropriate personnel.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Must have an acceptable safety record.
- Must have an acceptable attendance record
- Must have basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication division and percent) to make proper adjustments and calibrations as required
- Must be able to read and understand operations manuals and make entries in daily logs, computers, and check sheets.
