The Mainframe Senior Engineer position requires expertise in Mainframe System Automation tools, specifically IBM SA z/OS and CA OPS/MVS. The role involves developing and deploying automated solutions across the infrastructure to eliminate manual intervention, including automated IPLs, application recovery, and auto ticket generation. The engineer will support automation applications through various upgrade and maintenance activities, including z/OS upgrades, Data Centre consolidation, and CPU Refreshes. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for all automation tool functionality, design, integration, and implementation, transforming client automation to a standard toolset and supporting multiple complexes/LPARs. The position also requires involvement in feasibility studies and recommending mainframe automation solutions across all environments, with a strong emphasis on analytical ability, communication, and interpersonal skills to build relationships with team members and customers.
