About The Position

This is a 100% onsite position located in Woodlawn, MD, where the selected candidate will be required to work five days a week. The role involves working with advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts, tackling complex technical problems, and providing innovative solutions. The candidate will collaborate with highly experienced technical resources and will be assigned various duties as directed.

Requirements

• 8 or more years of technical experience with mainframe demand, capacity, and performance management.
• 2 or more years of project leadership experience.
• Experience integrating new technologies with existing technologies.
• Experience implementing technologies with enterprise-wide impact.
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
• Master's degree (Preferred).
• Experience managing major projects from end to end.

Nice To Haves

• Handles day to day requests.
• Maintain operating system performance parameters.
• Review and implement WLM (Workload manager) policy changes using IBM WLM ISPF facility.
• Determine WLM impact and implement required changes to the WLM policy for adding a new or existing system to the parallel sysplex.
• Customizing and testing of performance tools.
• Performs mid-level troubleshooting.
• Monitor critical system resources.
• Real-time performance monitoring.
• Supports operating system upgrades.
• Run IBM SCRT process for billing.
• Run CA SCRT process for billing.
• Review workload delay data to determine root cause and effect on system throughput.
• Performance maintains the Batch job classes / Initiator structures.
• Business Continuity Planning and participation.
• Provide On-call 7 x 24 rotation, weekend work, etc.
• Participate in daily scrum and provide updates.
