About The Position
The position requires proficiency in designing and developing mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, and IMS DB. The candidate will work closely with Product Owners, Operations, and country/business stakeholders to understand requirements, design, and prepare technical solutions. Responsibilities include coordinating with interface partners to build, enhance, or test surrounding systems, managing delivery from inception to completion while complying with SDLC standards, and assisting the support team in resolving critical production issues. The role also involves code reviews, testing support (ST/SIT/OAT/UAT/UVT), implementation, post-implementation support, and identifying and optimizing high resource-intensive processes. Additionally, the candidate will provide application training or change walkthroughs to business/country operations.
