The Mainframe IMS DB with CICS position is a critical role based in Wilmington, DE, requiring the selected candidate to work onsite from Day One. This position is a contract role with a duration of 12+ months, focusing on the development and maintenance of mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability. The role demands proficiency in coding with one or more programming languages, as well as experience in debugging and maintaining code within a large corporate environment. A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is essential, along with familiarity with agile methodologies, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), application resiliency, and security practices. The candidate will be expected to have hands-on experience with IBM-Z/OS COBOL, CICS, IMS DB/DC, DB2, VSAM, JCL, CA7, and Changeman/Endeavor for mainframe application development. Additionally, experience with IBM WebSphere MQ messaging solutions is required. The ability to create APIs using zO/S connect and Kafka integration is considered a plus, as is demonstrated knowledge and work experience with AWS.
