The position involves working with Mainframe IMS DB and CICS, specifically version 3.8, in a corporate environment located in Wilmington, DE. The role requires hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in coding with one or more programming languages, as well as experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code within a large corporate setting. A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is essential, along with familiarity with agile methodologies, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), application resiliency, and security practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM-Z/OS COBOL, CICS, IMS DB/DC, DB2, VSAM, JCL, CA7, and Changeman/Endeavor. Additionally, experience with IBM WebSphere MQ messaging solutions is required. The role may also involve creating APIs using zO/S connect and Kafka integration, which is considered a plus. Knowledge and work experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) will also be advantageous for this position. Candidates with familiarity in modern front-end technologies, knowledge of the banking domain, and credit card processing will be preferred. Exposure to cloud technologies and JAVA is also a plus, making this position suitable for individuals looking to expand their skills in a dynamic and evolving technological landscape.
