About The Position

As Custom Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. You will use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs. You are expected to be a subject matter expert, collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively, take responsibility for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, contribute to key decisions, and provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams. Take ownership of specific software components and ensure their quality and performance meet project standards. Support and guide less experienced colleagues by sharing knowledge and best practices. Analyze complex technical challenges and propose innovative solutions that align with business objectives. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to influence design decisions and improve delivery processes. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance software development practices. Please note this is a hybrid role which requires being onsite 3 days per week with the client in Orlando, FL.

Requirements

Minimum 7 years of experience on Mainframe
Minimum 7 years of experience in COBOL
Minimum 7 years of experience in JCL, CICS, DB2
High School Diploma/GED

Nice To Haves

Experience in banking/financial services
Bachelors Degree
