Key Responsibilities: As a Mainframe Developer, you will be responsible for providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You are expected to be a subject matter expert, collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively. You will be responsible for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions. Additionally, you will provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams. Analyze and troubleshoot complex software issues to ensure system reliability and performance. Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance system functionality and user experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve service delivery. Document findings and solutions to create a knowledge base for future reference. Participate in continuous learning and development to stay updated with industry trends and technologies. This role requires 3-4 days per week onsite in New York City, NY. Role requires contractor time away (CTA), 5 days per quarter, as mandated by the client

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on Mainframe experience
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in COBOL Mainframe, AS400 and VSAM
  • High School Diploma / GED

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced proficiency in Mainframes Modernization on GCP
  • Bank experience
  • Experience with Restructured Extended Executor (REXX), DB2 SQL, and Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM) is suggested.
