About The Position

The Mainframe Developer role at Wipro Limited involves working with mainframe technologies to support business and development teams in validating requirements and ensuring effective data handling. Requirements

• Understanding of mainframe basics and ability to navigate mainframe systems.
• Knowledge of accounting principles including debit/credit, GL posting, and GL types.
• Experience with data transformation and data lineage (preferred).
• Ability to create business requirements documents and test cases.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with COBOL programming.
• Familiarity with JIRA for defect tracking.

Responsibilities

• Understand mainframe terminologies and navigate mainframe systems to validate requirements.
• Trace back original postings in accounting to resolve GL breaks.
• Act as a liaison between business and development teams to ensure clear communication.
• Organize and host requirements meetings and sessions with business stakeholders.
• Create business requirements documents including data specifications based on prototypes and sample data.
• Organize and host requirements walkthroughs with business, development, and testing teams.
• Provide support and clarifications to development and testing teams regarding requirements.
• Create test cases based on business requirements documents.
• Log JIRAs/bugs in JIRA for any defects that arise during testing.
• Walk through test results with Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) for business validation.
• Validate use cases created by the testing team and follow through on test execution.
