The candidate will be responsible for defining, developing, and leading an interactive team to implement scalable application solutions. This includes mainframe application development, automation, and support utilizing various technologies such as COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, MQ-Series, and SQL. The role also involves performance tuning and capacity planning for mainframe applications, focusing on reducing I/Os, CPU Time, MSUs, and MIPs using tools like Strobe, iStrobe, and Platinum Detector. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to manage format and comparison using File-AID, handle version management with Endeavor, perform debugging and unit testing using Intertest and Abend-AID, and schedule jobs using Control-M. Knowledge of MQ is considered a plus.
