Overview: This role is responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of mainframe applications and database systems, ensuring secure and efficient data processing within z/OS environments. The position requires deep expertise in legacy and modern technologies, with a focus on COBOL programming, DB2 database administration, and automation through REXX and ISPF dialogs.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience working with COBOL, REXX, and JCL.
• Minimum 6 years of experience working with ISPF Dialogs panels, skeletons, messages, and tables.
• Minimum 6 years of experience working as a DB2 DBA and related tools: Broadcom CA DB2 for z OS, z OS utilities, NDM Direct Connect, and Broadcom TDM
• High School Diploma or GED

• Experience working using Java for integration tasks

Responsibilities

• Application Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain applications using COBOL, REXX, and JCL. Create and manage ISPF dialogs (panels, skeletons, messages, tables) for operational dashboards and user interfaces.
• Database Administration: Perform DB2 DBA tasks, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Utilize Broadcom CA DB2 tools (formerly Platinum) for database management and optimization.
• Data Management & Security: Execute data unloads, masking, and loads to support secure data handling. Run obfuscation deltas to identify new tables/columns that may contain PII and ensure compliance with data privacy standards.
• System Operations & Utilities: 9Work with z/OS utilities for system-level tasks and batch processing. Manage NDM (Direct Connect) for secure data transfers. Leverage Broadcom TDM for test data management and provisioning.
• Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement: Investigate and resolve errors arising during DB2 processing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance automation and operational efficiency.
