About The Position

The Main Shop Technician is a vital member of our automotive service team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure their safe and efficient operation. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be 18 years or older.
  • Proven experience as an automotive technician, with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, components, and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Volkswagen or Audi experience preferred, but not required.
  • Certification from a recognized automotive training program or technical school preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose vehicle issues accurately and efficiently using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Repair or replace faulty parts, components, or systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems.
  • Perform complex automotive repairs and adjustments, including engine overhauls, transmission rebuilds, and differential repairs.
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines and specifications for repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Keep up-to-date with advancements in automotive technology and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and provide assistance when needed.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
  • Document all work performed accurately and thoroughly in service records.
