Main Line Telephone Operator - Part-Time
About The Position

Please note: This is a part-time position - 12 hours per week. We are looking for a Main Line Telephone Operator to assist in delivering outstanding support and maintaining seamless communication. As the first point of contact for individuals calling, you will play a crucial role in representing APL with a friendly, professional, and helpful demeanor. As a member of our team, you'll contribute to enhancing the overall experience by efficiently managing incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate departments. You will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who prioritize collaboration and excellence in every aspect of our work. We are passionate about providing high-quality service and maintaining strong relationships with those we work with.
Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrate a friendly and approachable attitude
- Exhibit strong customer service skills
- Are able to effectively multitask
- Are proficient in using basic computer applications (email, internet)
- Hold US Citizenship or permanent resident status, as required to access APL’s facilities and networks, subject to applicable laws.

- Are comfortable using new technology
Responsibilities
- Manage the main phone line, directing calls to the appropriate individuals or departments.
- Respond to inquiries and provide relevant information, ensuring callers are connected to the right party.
- Use a computer to access and provide phone directories, email addresses, locations, events, and other essential APL information.
- Maintain and update the contact directory for the operator position.
