We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Main Banker. An individual could be successful if they possess the following. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Main Banker is responsible for the safe efficient operation of the main bank, including daily operation, administration, maintenance and protection of the gaming bankroll. Responsible for all cash and cash equivalents in the main bank. Always presents a friendly and professional image at the Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort. The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One or more year’s supervisory experience preferred
  • Five years money handling experience (i.e. banking, cage etc.).
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Excellent skills in both written and oral communication.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word) and have knowledge of Cage operating systems.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe efficient operation of the main bank, including daily operation, administration, maintenance and protection of the gaming bankroll.
  • Responsible for all cash and cash equivalents in the main bank.
  • Adheres to scheduling provided by department management to ensure guest satisfaction is achieved.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
  • Performs all functions in accordance with applicable State, Federal and other laws and gaming regulations and OJC policies and procedures.
  • Independently counts and balances funds in Main Bank with outgoing banker at start of shift, and again at the end of shift
  • Records inventory count amounts, by denomination, type, etc. on the Main Bank cash inventory sheet
  • Records all outgoing and incoming funds on the Main Bank accountability sheet
  • Receives and verifies Table games chips, currency, coin, checks, and tickets to and from the Count room, Main bank window,
  • Prepares and verifies Table games chip bank and all Table games fills
  • Researches and reports all variances
  • Prepares and releases impress funds to cage cashiers and all other outlets.
  • Receives and verifies drops through careful review of all paperwork and signatures.
  • Prepares daily cash, checks and for deposit.
  • Balances all recorded transactions to the change in Main Bank total inventory.
  • Maintains and is held accountable for all funds entrusted to him/her on an assigned shift.
  • Responsible for totaling all Slot pay-outs for the shift and recording total on the main bank summary count sheet.
  • Kiosk cash maintenance, reporting and reconciliation.
  • Presents a sociable and professional demeanor towards guests and team members at all times.
  • Monitor cage operations to ensure adherence to all State/Federal compliance, Title 31, CTR, SARC, MTL and Anti-Money Laundering requirements.
  • Must be able to perform/act as a Cage Cashier as needed.
  • Attends and satisfactorily completes all required training as assigned and required.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
  • Follows established procedures and policies of the Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.
