About The Position

The Main Banker is responsible for managing and accounting for all funds in the main bank inventories, including cash, gaming chips, and customer deposits. This role provides essential services to various departments, maintains ticket redemption terminals, and acts as a supervisor in the absence of the Casino Services Shift Supervisor. The position requires a high level of integrity and accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing.

Requirements

  • Previous experience handling large amounts of cash for at least one year.
  • Previous data entry and Microsoft Excel experience required.
  • At least six months of previous main bank or one year of casino cashiering experience preferred.
  • Must be comfortable handling large volumes of cash with integrity and honesty.
  • Must pass a drug test.
  • Excellent mathematical abilities are required.
  • Must be organized, efficient, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are necessary.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain required gaming permit.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Furnishes or accepts cash, coin, or gaming chips from various departments in exchange for gaming instruments.
  • Provides prompt, friendly, professional, and accurate service to all departments.
  • Verifies and takes accountability for tips from various departments.
  • Records and maintains paperwork for activity and transactions on the main bank reconciliation.
  • Processes and reconciles guest deposits and withdrawals, marker issuance, and redemptions.
  • Processes and reconciles drops for all venues in the casino and uploads them into the FIS central count room website.
  • Pays out cash or checks for jackpots when required.
  • Answers the telephone professionally and assists guests with inquiries.
  • Monitors, fills, and replaces cassettes in ticket redemption kiosks and escalates non-repairable issues.
  • Resolves guest disputes at ticket redemption terminals.
  • Prepares funds needed for special events pay outs in advance.
  • Prepares and prints daily reports for income control.
  • Maintains records of all transactions per gaming guidelines and internal controls.
  • Upholds teamwork by assisting fellow team members.
  • Learns and maintains knowledge of Title 31 program requirements.
  • Acts in the absence of the shift supervisor to verify cash payouts and marker payments.
  • Checks the accuracy of gaming and non-gaming documents sent to the audit department.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area and keeps supplies stocked.
  • Meets attendance guidelines and adheres to company policies.
  • Enforces Project 21 policy and procedures by monitoring for underage gamblers.
