About The Position

The Mailroom Clerk at Ball Horticultural Company plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient sorting, processing, and delivery of mail and packages within the organization. Requirements

  • Must have a High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 or more years of experience in light industrial, production, mailroom, packaging, shipping, or distribution operations.
  • Valid driver's license is required and forklift experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate with internal and external customers; bilingual capabilities a plus.
  • MS Office and inventory systems experience required.
  • Ability to problem solve, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, teamwork, adaptability, and flexibility to work in multiple areas performing multiple tasks.
  • Must have productive, high-quality output to meet customer expectations and internal metrics.
  • Ability to assist in creating new procedures and improving existing processes.
  • Ability to work directly with other employees inside and outside the department on shared objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and timely sorting, processing, and delivery of all company mail and packages to internal customers.
  • Perform quality checks on documentation, packaging, and shipments.
  • Process outbound shipments through various shipping and mailing systems.
  • Perform various seed processing center functions to support seed availability and shipments to customers.
  • Use company vehicles to deliver and pick up mail, transport employees, and run miscellaneous errands.
  • Load and unload trucks by hand and using mechanical aids including powered forklift trucks.
  • Provide high-quality product and accurate content to maintain the company's industry position.
  • Participate in continuous improvement exercises and adapt to changing needs and requirements.
  • Work with the overall team to deliver best-in-class service.
  • Perform all other duties needed to help drive to the company's vision, fulfill its mission, and abide by its values.
  • Adhere to all quality control measures and watch for signs of tampering and contamination.
  • Perform work using multiple computer systems/software: MS Office tools, SAP inventory control and management, and Carrier software (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.).
