About The Position

FSSI is looking for a full-time Mail Sorter to join our 2nd shift team in Lincoln, Rhode Island. This position is responsible for sorting of mail from the mail insert machine and assisting operators with mail production. Schedule: 2nd shift ; Full-time, Monday - Friday, 4:00 pm - 12:30 am. Overtime is scheduled on an as needed basis. Extended hours are usually scheduled at least once a month, typically during the first 7 days of each month to complete month end processing. Additional overtime could be scheduled during the week, and could include weekends in rare circumstances.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Demonstrate effective written and oral communication, interpersonal, organizational, strong time management, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Must exhibit a strong customer service philosophy and attitude.
Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Work effectively independently and as a member of a team and work with all levels of employees.

Responsibilities

Transfer sealed envelopes from insert machine to mail trays.
Ensure all envelopes are stamped and sealed.
Confirm mailing addresses and micro numbers are visible in envelope window.
Place filled mail trays onto pallets.
Sort at more than one machine at a time.
Assist machine operators with preparation work prior to start of each job.
Assist machine operators with the clearing of stock and materials at the end of each job.
Flexibility in work schedule, frequently 10 or more hours per day during overtime shifts, is required on a recurring basis.
Assist the department with additional work, as needed and/or requested.
