About The Position
The Mail & Print Associate at Hackensack Meridian Health plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of mail and print services within the organization. This position is responsible for delivering various items, including letters, packages, specimens, and interoffice mail, while also managing printing and photocopying tasks for different departments on the HackensackUMC campus and off-campus locations. The associate will assist in maintaining control over the Medical Center's in-house printing, mailing, materials, job inventory, and replenishment, fulfilling requests from various departments through multiple channels such as interoffice communication, email, phone calls, and walk-ins. In this role, the associate will be expected to complete requested work within established standards, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and ensuring that all print jobs are completed within a three-day window. The associate will also be responsible for performing bindery work, cutting, laminating, booklet making, padding, and folding tasks as assigned. Additionally, the position involves processing incoming and outgoing mail, specimens, and FedEx deliveries, ensuring compliance with established standards and regulations. The associate will manage automated mail processing, secure postage meters, and maintain accurate logs of all mail and print tasks completed daily. Physical demands of the job include standing, crouching, stooping, bending, and walking for approximately seven hours per day, as well as pushing and pulling supply carts and printed materials. The Mail & Print Associate must adhere to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies and comply with all relevant regulations, including those set by the Post Office and Copyright Laws. This position is integral to the operational efficiency of the Medical Center, contributing to the overall mission of Hackensack Meridian Health to provide exceptional healthcare services.
