About The Position

We are looking for a Mail Prep Operator- Day Shift who will: Inspect inserted mail to ensure that the mail meets the required expectations according to the USPS specifications. Operate machinery on the production floor for mail processing. Load processed mail onto USPS pallets or carts and then onto a USPS truck ensuring that the pallets are positioned correctly. Understand the inventory process for mail prep supplies and place orders if necessary. Maintain daily logs for recording and balancing mail counts.

Requirements

• Dependable and open to working a 12-hour rotating shift schedule of 6 PM - 6 AM, including some weekends and holidays.
• Ability to use a personal computer and have a solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
• Ability to stand/walk for 95% of the shift.
• Able to bend, stoop, and lift materials between 25-50 lbs on a frequent basis.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Proficient in English in a business environment.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
