The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA), General Services Division (GSD) is seeking a Mail Clerk Lead to join our team. The ADOA Mail Room is a vital service, handling approximately 1,000,000 pieces of outbound mail annually for 70 state agencies and providing inter-agency mail services to 93 state agencies. As a Mail Clerk Lead, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and secure flow of mail. Your responsibilities will include sorting inbound mail, preparing tracking sheets, and participating in security screening when necessary. You'll be responsible for loading vehicles, delivering, and collecting mail on assigned daily routes. This position also involves preparing and processing outbound mail through postage meters, handling FedEx and UPS shipments, and preparing packages for various inter-agency shuttle services and vendor pickups. Beyond traditional mail handling, you'll be involved in preparing and processing inbound mail for agencies utilizing our mail scanning and electronic delivery services. This includes operating bar-coding software, printing submitted jobs, and using a folder/inserter. Additionally, you'll assist with reconciling warrant stock, printing warrants, and preparing them for mailing. A key aspect of this role is direct interaction with ADOA mailroom customers, both in person and over the phone, to answer general and specific mailroom questions. As a Lead, you'll also provide guidance, direction, and training to other mailroom staff, answering their questions and ensuring smooth operations. This position serves as a backup to the mailroom supervisor, including assisting with mailroom billing functions. Therefore, coordinating time off with the supervisor is essential to ensure continuous mailroom supervision.
