Under general supervision, sorts incoming mail for distribution and dispatches outgoing mail and delivers mail to outside County departments by performing the following duties. Assists Mail Services supervisor with preparation of and sorting of; mail, inter-office envelopes, parcels, and Admin. Services jobs for delivery. Follows a regular pickup and delivery schedule to complete deliveries of mail, parcels, and Admin. Services jobs. Assigned by the Mail Services Supervisor. Reports on any necessary changes to pickup and delivery schedules to the Mail Services Supervisor. Complete deliveries of mail, inter-office envelopes, parcels, and Admin. Services jobs throughout the Tulsa County area daily. Operates a County Vehicle to complete deliveries of mail, inter-office envelopes, parcels, and Admin. Services jobs to Tulsa County and outside Tulsa County organizations within the Downtown Tulsa Area daily. Operates a mobile shipping & receiving scanner to log completed delivery times & dates. Calibrate and operate scales to determine proper amount of postage. Determine rate of postage for different mail, including first, second, third, and fourth class. Determine most efficient and economical method to send mail. Utilize postage charge and calibrated map to determine proper amount of postage for packages. Operate postage meters, scales, duplicating machines, and other office equipment. Maintain records concerning monies received, postal charges, amount of insured and certified mail. May assume the duties of Mail Services Supervisor absence.
