About The Position

Provides magnetic resonance imaging procedures within the scope of practice, including receiving and preparing patients and equipment for procedures and maintaining supplies for the MRI department. Produces high-quality scans by following protocols set forth by the radiology department. Operates MRI equipment in a safe and proficient manner within the boundaries of competence, based on documented education, training, supervised experience, state, and national professional credentials, and appropriate professional experience. Works with students from approved educational institutions.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from a 2-year college or technical school; or two years (60 credit hours) coursework from 4-year college or university; or three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • An additional two (2) years of experience is required.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Problem/situational analysis.
  • Ability to identify and seek needed information.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Customer/client orientation.
  • Must be currently certified in Radiography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (MR).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire and maintained throughout employment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
  • The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
  • Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for childcare.
