About The Position

The Magnet Wire Producer performs functions necessary for the continuous
operation of enamel oven(s), within the approved green zone of quality specs.
This position will handle several functions in the manufacturing process of
producing aluminum and copper magnet wire.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Two (2) years manufacturing experience, with experience in metals casting
• Ability to operate a series of controls to regulate the enameling process
• Ability to lift and handle 45 pounds, and pull wire with 45 lbs. of copper bar to start-up
• Repetitive movements during the setup process require ability to wear and function in protective equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally
• Computer input of required information into Windows Microsoft office system

Responsibilities

• Operates the enamel oven, supports equipment, prepares necessary paperwork for shipment and maintains required supplies
• Provides proper oven set up by using the changeover/setup list
• Checks the Quench water level and keeps it clean
• Operates the wire draw machines for all functions necessary to ensure proper alignment of wire throughout the process
• Completes basket welds, enters data into computer and documents basket weld breaks
• Responsible for performing all team operations including start up, verifying lube, troubleshooting for bead and undersize wire, bare wire diameter and sponge change, completion of all forms and paperwork, and housekeeping duties
• Identifies problems in production process and complete corrective action
• Routinely operates powered industrial equipment including forklifts and cranes
