About The Position
The City of Huntsville's Municipal Court is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Magistrate (Grade 15). This role involves advanced quasi-legal work, including the issuance and recording of arrest warrants, complaints, and affidavits, as well as granting bail and receiving pleas in minor misdemeanor cases. The Magistrate will interview citizens with complaints, hear charges from law enforcement, determine probable cause, and issue appropriate legal documents.
