In the Store Management Executive Development Program, you'll learn what it takes to be a successful store manager at Macy's, and you'll do it in a position of high visibility and substantial responsibility. The Macy's Store Management Executive Development Program (EDP) is a series of rotational experiences designed to develop the leadership, strategic planning, and business management skills necessary to run a multi-million-dollar retail business and enable rapid career progression. Through personalized learning experiences and on-the-job training, you'll develop a global and strategic view of the retail landscape and prepare to rise through the ranks of a Fortune 500 company. Placement for this program is available in major market stores nationwide, and the 2025 program begins August 18th.

  • Receive training on how to drive sales through effective leadership.
  • Develop merchandising strategies and learn new initiatives that impact our stores.
  • Move through various leadership roles within the Stores Organization.
  • Coach and develop a team of approximately 10 to 20 associates.
  • Drive sales and profit through hiring & developing talent and running daily operations.
  • Analyze business trends and make decisions to drive sales growth.
  • Learn to lead all merchandise movement, set-up, and visual execution activities for the store.
  • Manage store operations and administrative functions such as budgets and cash office functions.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university by the time you start.
  • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA preferred.
