Overview All machinists are journeymen, versed in all machine shop activities. Responsibilities Essential Functions: To fabricate parts to the highest level of quality possible. The ability to read mechanical drawings. The ability to operate both manual and CNC machining equipment. The ability to fabricate parts per design drawings, accurately and repetitively. The ability to do sheet metal fabrication. The ability to perform welding and brazing operations. The ability to use precision measuring equipment. Other Responsibilities: Have knowledge of vibration and balance equipment. Fabricate, repair and assemble precision assemblies. Fabricate and assemble production process lines. Assist Design and Process Engineers as needed to identify mechanical deficencies on all production machines. Alert management of all identified drawing or component errors. To assist management, whenever possible, to improve tooling or procedures to provide the customer with quality products. Any other duties that may be assigned ISO 9001 and Environmental, Health and Safety Maintain awareness on company policies Maintain awareness on company objectives for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Support the Company's continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Education, Experience, and skills required: Associates degree in machining. Two years of experience in industrial machining. The ability to work as a team with all levels of personnel. The ability to work un-supervised in a responsible manner. The ability to recognize and repair defects in process tooling that may compromise the quality of the finished product.
