About The Position

MACHINIST, MAINTENANCE Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED; 3+years of machining experience Ability to interpret technical manuals, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, and perform basic layout functions Individuals are required to possess their own basic hand tools Experience including setup, operating, with vertical and/or horizontal 5 axis mills Preferred: Strong mathematical skills Vocational, Technical, Community Colleges or Apprentice programs Machine technology educational program Shipbuilding/Marine Advanced Manufacturing Institute (SAMI) program completion Skills Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Self-starter with good problem solving skills Ability to work in a collaborative and team environment to meet organizational goal Physical Qualifications Climbing, Crawling, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain Secret security clearance. The likely hourly rate for this position is between $24.65 - $33.35. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
