Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Machinist to support our automation and custom‑equipment manufacturing team. This position involves approximately 5% manual machining and 95% CNC machining, with a strong focus on accuracy, craftsmanship, and collaboration. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proficient with precision measurement tools, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Manual Machinist, with exposure to CNC machining
• Strong understanding of machining principles, manual machine operation, and precision measuring tools
• Ability to interpret 2D CAD drawings, manipulate files, and import DXFs
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in automation and/or prior experience with JR Automation is preferred
• Experience with conversational CNC programming preferred
• Experience with SolidWorks highly preferred
• Knowledge of CMM techniques and GD&T principles (preferred)
• Ability to inspect and confirm critical dimensions independently

Responsibilities

• Perform manual machining operations with a high level of precision and consistency
• Complete conversational programming on CNC equipment
• Interpret and manipulate 2D CAD files, including importing DXF files for machining
• Collaborate with engineering and internal teams to confirm fixture setups, orientations, and critical dimensions
• Inspect and verify critical dimensions using precision measurement tools
• Communicate potential quality concerns clearly and promptly to management
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all safety procedures
• Support machining activities as needed to meet production and project deadlines
