About The Position

Perform rebuild and repair machining work as required. Repair or rebuild worn and failed parts requiring welding reconstruction and/or machining. This role involves setting up and operating various machining equipment, performing metal spray or HVC processes, reboring, rebuilding, resurfacing, magnafluxing, and grinding. The individual will also be responsible for preparing service reports, planning and controlling repair job costs, and ensuring machined parts are within specified tolerances. Maintaining company equipment in good, clean, and orderly condition is also a key aspect. The position requires adherence to all safety policies, company procedures, and standards, and a commitment to quality work standards. Additional duties include comprehending and interpreting sketches and diagrams, operating stripping and finishing machines, keeping records, providing data, submitting reports, and welding structural components as needed. Overtime and travel to remote locations may also be required.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of general machining equipment.
  • Previous experience in thermal spray and/or lathe.
  • Extensive prior experience in welding and machining.
  • Appropriate manner, conduct, and grooming adhere to company policy.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively.
  • Must have acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements.
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 6 months related experience.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to set up machines and run the machining job.
  • Metal spray or HVC processes as required.
  • Perform reboring, rebuilding, resurfacing, magnafluxing and grinding as needed.
  • Prepare service reports.
  • Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
  • Machined parts are within specified tolerances.
  • Maintain company equipment – keep in good clean orderly condition.
