About The Position

The Machinist is responsible for the successful operation of machines to produce quality parts for our Polaris products. In this role, you’ll use a variety of tools, mechanical instruments and techniques. If you are mechinally and technically inclined and pay close attention to details, then this is the role for you.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
  • 6 months – 2 years machinist experience OR machinist certificate
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate a variety of machine tools including but not limited to manual lathes, mills, and drill presses, to produce precision parts and instruments
  • Fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments
  • Read engineering blueprints, and measuring devices such as caliper, micrometer, and other gauges used in machining
  • Recognize, communicate and document safety concerns
