Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
At least one year of experience operating CNC machines
Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
Technical ability and basic math skills
Ability to use precision gauges and measuring instruments
Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
Ability to operate a computer, fax machine, and other office equipment
Ability to work as part of a team

Nice To Haves

Completion of an apprenticeship or training program is preferred

Responsibilities

Plans machining in cell by studying work orders, blueprints, set up sheets to ensure quality production.
Sets up and operates various machines as rotation takes place within a work cell.
Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.
Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
Meet production schedules.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity, including lubrication, cleaning, and tool replacement.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Ensure that the machines are operating correctly and that pieces are cut to perfection
Perform maintenance on the machines and replace dull or aged parts as necessary.
