About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: This role requires traditional machining expertise to fabricate, modify, and repair metal and composite components used in the yacht-building process. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, experienced in operating manual and CNC lathes, mills, drill presses, and other conventional machining tools. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Operate manual and CNC lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and other conventional machining equipment. 30% Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to produce accurate components. 10% Measure and inspect machined parts to ensure they meet precise tolerances and quality standards. 10% Modify or repair metal and composite components used in yacht construction. 10% Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.10% Perform routine maintenance on machining equipment to ensure optimal operation. 10% Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and production teams to meet project requirements. 10% Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and best practices. 10% ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in as a machinist in a manufacturing or marine related field
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively speak to groups of associates, supervisors, and managers
