We are currently looking for a CNC Machinist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for taking a part from print to shipment, owning the entire machining process from programming through inspection, production, and packaging. This position is a key team member and is critical to our daily operations. The right candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrives in an environment where ownership, accountability, and craftsmanship matter.

Requirements

  • Experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Experience creating inspection plans and First Article reports
  • Strong understanding of tooling, gaging, and fixturing
  • Experience working in a high-tolerance manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable owning parts from print to shipment
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation
  • Ability to work independently in a small-team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in firearms or defense manufacturing
  • Experience in OEM machining environments
  • Forklift certification or experience

Responsibilities

  • Analyze engineering drawings and develop the manufacturing process.
  • Program parts based on the approved method for the selected CNC machine.
  • Create inspection plans for each job.
  • Develop tool and gage lists and order required items.
  • Set up machines and run first pieces.
  • Complete First Article Inspection Reports and coordinate independent verification.
  • Run production and continuously improve cycle time and process efficiency.
  • Perform in-process inspections and complete labor transactions.
  • Identify, document, and control non-conforming material per work instructions.
  • Update and maintain all controlled documentation (programs, inspection plans, tooling lists).
  • Maintain close communication with Engineering and Supervision.
  • Maintain a clean, organized machine and work area.
  • Perform scheduled machine maintenance.
  • Monitor tooling inventory and order replacements as needed.
  • Perform facility housekeeping.
  • Receive incoming materials and place items into inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts.
